Ever notice your cat pawing rhythmically at a blanket, pillow, or even your lap? 🐾 That is "kneading" — an instinct left over from kittenhood, when kittens pressed on their mom to stimulate milk flow. Adult cats keep doing it whenever they feel safe, cozy, and affectionate toward you! Some even purr up a storm while they do it. Just watch those claws — if kneading gets a little painful, regular nail trims can help keep everyone comfortable. 😺
