Woke up to a lovely little hairball surprise on the rug? 🙀 Don't panic! Cats spend hours grooming, so they swallow a fair bit of fur, and bringing up a hairball now and then is pretty common, especially for long-haired kitties.

To cut down on hairballs 🐱: brush your cat regularly (daily for long-haired breeds), keep them well hydrated, and ask your vet about fiber-rich food or a hairball gel. But if your cat keeps vomiting, retches without producing anything, stops eating, seems constipated, or has a swollen belly, head to the vet right away, since a hairball can cause a blockage.
