Scratching isn't your cat being naughty, it's pure instinct! 🐱 It helps them stretch, sharpen their claws, mark territory with scent glands in their paws, and even blow off some stress.

Instead of scolding, offer a scratching post tall enough for a full-body stretch and place it near where your cat already scratches or naps. A sprinkle of catnip or a dangling toy can make it extra tempting. Meanwhile, cover the sofa corner with double-sided tape or a protector for a few weeks and most cats will switch over on their own. Regular nail trims help too!
