🛁 It's tempting to think a weekly scrub keeps your pup fresh, but bathing too often can strip the natural oils from the skin and leave your dog dry, itchy and scratching more than before.
For most dogs, a bath roughly every 4–6 weeks does the job. Long-coated or outdoor-loving dogs may need one sooner, while short-haired couch potatoes can go longer. If your dog has a skin condition, follow the schedule your vet gives you.
A few tips: brush out tangles first 🐕, use lukewarm water and a shampoo made for dogs (human shampoo doesn't suit canine skin), rinse really well, then towel and dry thoroughly — especially the ears and any skin folds.
How often does your dog get a bath? And is yours a happy splasher or a master of the bathroom escape? 😆
