Did you know most pet birds need 10 to 12 hours of sleep every night? 🦜 Lots of cages sit in the living room with bright lights and the TV going late, which can leave birds cranky, prone to feather plucking, or less chatty.

A few simple tips 🌙: place the cage somewhere quiet and away from drafts. At night you can drape a breathable, dark cover over the cage, leaving a small gap for airflow. Keep bedtime and wake-up time consistent so their body clock stays on track. Some nervous birds get scared in total darkness, so a very dim night light nearby can help them settle.

Do you cover your bird's cage at night? What time does your feathered friend go to bed? 💬
