Newly adopted birds are often super shy, flapping around the cage at the slightest movement 🐦. Don't lose hope! The trick is patience: keep the cage in a quiet spot for the first few days so your bird settles in, then speak softly whenever you approach and feed at consistent times so it learns to see you as its trusted food source. Once it's calmer, try hand-feeding - but never force it, let your bird approach on its own terms. With a few weeks of consistency, many birds become confident enough to perch right on your shoulder!
