A bit of green makes any tank look calmer — and your fish will thank you for it! 🌿🐠 Live plants soak up waste, compete with algae and give fish safe places to hide.

You don't need fancy substrate or CO2 to start. These are about as forgiving as it gets:
🌱 Anubias and Java fern — tie them to rock or driftwood, don't bury the rhizome
🌱 Java moss — fry and shrimp love it
🌱 Cryptocoryne — happy in low light
🌱 Floating plants like frogbit — great at mopping up extra nutrients

Heads-up: new plants often shed leaves for the first few weeks, so don't give up on them. Six to eight hours of light a day is plenty; more than that mostly feeds algae.
