🦎 Leopard geckos are one of the friendliest ways into reptile keeping: calm, quiet, and blessed with a face that always looks like it's smiling!

A few things to know before bringing one home. They're most active at dusk and through the night, and they live on the ground rather than climbing glass. Their enclosure needs a warm end (around 31–33°C / 88–91°F) and a cooler end so they can regulate their temperature, plus at least three hides — one of them humid, to help with shedding.

They eat live insects such as crickets, dubia roaches and mealworms, dusted with calcium and vitamins. Skip loose sand for youngsters, and never grab the tail — a frightened gecko can drop it. With good care they can live 10–20 years, so it's a real long-term commitment!

Anyone here keeping a leopard gecko? What did you name yours? 😊
